Customer Spotlight:  Technical expertise serving innovation - The collaboration between BAMA SAS and Husky Technologies™

Cutting-edge expertise at the heart of industrial performance

Based in France, BAMA SAS is recognized for having expertise in the design and manufacture of multi-cavity thermoplastic and plastic injection molds. With its focus on innovation, the company takes a holistic approach to each project, providing original solutions that align with the industrial needs of its customers. What sets BAMA apart in a competitive market is its ability to support customers beyond simple tooling, also offering robot hand design, mold maintenance, and pre-series validation thanks to its fleet of injection molding machines.

With an ambitious vision, BAMA is facing increasing demands in terms of responsiveness, technical support, and environmental performance. BAMA meets these challenges by remaining at the cutting edge of technology and integrating environmentally friendly practices into its solutions, which are essential in the eyes of its customers.

A solid technological collaboration

For more than 20 years, BAMA has made the strategic choice to integrate Husky’s hot runner systems into its tooling. This early adoption has enabled them to offer reliable technical alternatives to traditional three-plate or sprue solutions, with clear advantages: increased mold reliability, reduced cycle times, improved part aesthetics, and optimized injection points.

"In BAMA’s innovation journey, Husky has been a trusted supplier for over 20 years. Husky's expertise in injection molding, combined with constant commercial and technical support, has enabled BAMA to strengthen our competitiveness. The Husky team stands out for its ability to respond quickly, find concrete solutions to complex problems and guarantee long-term continuity, essential in customer relationships," expresses Benoît Proyart, General Manager for BAMA SAS.

An emblematic pharmaceutical project

Among the many collaborations, a project in the pharmaceutical sector perfectly illustrates the added value of this cooperation.BAMA experienced nozzle wear and blockage a standard, non-optimized hot runner system due to the high moisture content of the thermoplastic material.. The BAMA and Husky teams joined forces to identify and deploy a reliable technical solution by implementing Husky’s single face 32 drop UltraHelix Valve Gated manifold system, specialized for pharmaceutical packaging with complex geometry to protect moisture-sensitive contents. "This close teamwork between the sales and technical departments of both BAMA and Husky enabled us to solve the problem quickly and efficiently - a fine example of successful industrial co-development", says Proyart.

Anticipate at the design stage to guarantee success

At BAMA, close collaboration with our customers begins at the earliest stages of product design. The early integration of hot runner constraints, notably the position of injection points and nozzle dimensions, optimizes overall consistency. This approach avoids last-minute adjustments, which are often complex and costly.

"By working hand-in-hand with Husky right from the concept phase, projects gain in fluidity, efficiency and quality. Fluid communication, responsiveness and the combination of expertise are the keys to this virtuous dynamic," expresses Proyart.
